Log in to an account having administrative privilages.

2. type
3. choose
4. In the setting search for prevent access to registry editing tools
5. Double click on it .. You will get another window where you can configure access to registry editing tools
6. choose disable/Enable option.
7. Apply and save your setting and try opening "regedit" again
Method to Remove Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator
You have to use Group Policy Editor for Windows XP Professional
• Click Start>Run>type gpedit.msc and click OK.
• Navigate to this line:
User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> System >> Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options >> Remove Task Manager
• Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.
• Set the policy to “Not Configured”.
